TRUTH

Error, indeed, is never set forth in its naked deformity, lest, being thus exposed, it should at once be detected. But it is craftily decked out in an attractive dress, so as, by its outward form, to make it appear to the inexperienced (ridiculous as the expression may seem) more true than the truth itself. - Irenaeus

The Cult of Words

One of the first things one learns in dealing with religious cults is that they redefine words that most of us don't give a second thought.  Words that have historically meant one thing you find mean something totally different to the cultist.  Often they might string a list of these terms together in a sentence and you are left scratching your head wondering what you just heard.  Thinking you may have misunderstood you wait patiently for clarification in the next sentence.  Then, you might think the person is talking over your head, so you are left feeling small, like they are so highly educated or enlightened you simply can't grasp the concept of their speech.

Politicians use similar language.  They often can never answer a simple yes or no question without a string of political gibberish to sidestep the issue.  This is usually a learned behavior but often it is a sign of some form of narcissism or mental problem.  The narcissist has a way of sidelining his or her opponent and elevating themselves.  In religion, a guru type figure might sound so mystical that you open yourself to psychological manipulation in effort to attain that "higher" state of consciousness or nirvana.  The politician uses political jargon that makes you feel as though they have answers to very complex issues when in fact you are being fed a line of poppycock that can't even fertilize your poppies.  In religion one must learn the language of the cultist in order to communicate.  That often requires reading their literature and comparing it with Biblical truth.  The LGBTQ+ crowd have come up with pseudoscientific terms that baffle the minds of the average person.  These terms are being introduced in the educational system so that young people are being brainwashed.  They often think because they learned these terms in school they are more highly educated than their parents when in fact they have simply been deceived.

Apostle Paul compared these kinds of people with the two magicians Jannes and Jambres who opposed Moses in Egypt.  He wrote, "But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving and being deceived". (2 Tim. 3:8,13)
