TRUTH

Error, indeed, is never set forth in its naked deformity, lest, being thus exposed, it should at once be detected. But it is craftily decked out in an attractive dress, so as, by its outward form, to make it appear to the inexperienced (ridiculous as the expression may seem) more true than the truth itself. - Irenaeus

YOUR FATHER IN HEAVEN: a Review

WHEN TRUTH IS SCARIER THAN FICTION

BLOOMINGTON, INDIANA — WHEN William Peter Blatty wrote "The Exorcist," he forever changed the way the world viewed demons and possession. While he probably had no intention of the film version being billed "the scariest movie you will ever see," it was. And, not surprisingly, it lived up to its name. Inspired by an actual exorcism in the Washington D.C. area, "The Exorcist" is still a fabricated tale. The question then remains; what could be scarier than "The Exorcist?" Author Dale Brown may have the answer.
The truth, it seems, is scarier than any fiction could ever be. In YOUR FATHER IN HEAVEN: Devilish or Divine (available from Authorhouse), Dale allows his readers to experience the extraordinary veiled world of demonology, cultism, and the supernatural through the author’s eyes. His research done in over twenty years of various ministry is written as the memoirs of a man who was delivered of a demon himself and has struggled to make sense of a subject few are willing to talk about.
The memoirs also point out that demonology is a topic that is avoided by most clergy even though approximately one third of Christ’s ministry on earth was devoted to casting out demons. In the Gospel of Mark, chapter five, Christ is shown casting demons out of man who says, "we are called Legion, for we are many." The reader can almost hear the multiple voices echoing this phrase in dark harmonics.
In search of spiritual fulfillment, Dale Brown became a licensed minister, a missionary, and a researcher of cults and religion. He has been a contributing writer for several para-church ministries and a guest on a number of talk shows. Outside of ministry, he has worked construction, owned and remodeled several yachts, and sold his artwork in numerous galleries. Brown and his wife Peggy lived for a number of years on their 42-foot motor/sailboat in Puget Sound and has cruised the coast between Alaska and Washington as missionaries. Your Father in Heaven is his first full-length book.
